My friend gave me a tree for my birthday. I’d really like to keep it alive. It’s really young and quite small, probably 10 - 12 inches long including roots, just a twig. Anyway, I have no idea what I need to do to care for it. Help would be much appreciated. Also, how much does a growing lamp typically cost?

I have to ferns, different types but i don’t know what exactly, i was given one and bought the other but im wondering how to care for them. Im new with plants but they both came from inside a walmart. Im asuming that A/C wont harm them but the fern i was given had started to go brown, i checked the roots and it looked like there wasn’t enough room for it in the pot so i replanted today. I need advice on keeping them alive lol

I am responsible for maintaining my grandmothers LARGE garden for the next week. She left one day ago and already some of the flowers look like they’re dying.
A few of them appear to droop and look to be curling up and hardening. I believe she watered them before she left and I watered them again in the evening. The next morning I watered them, then watered them again in the evening. The temperatures been around 90 degrees and about half of the plants are hanging on pots above the fence while the others are in the ground.
The garden is about three feet wide but goes all around the perimiter of the yard and there is a ton of stuff. I usually run the water right where the plants roots are for about ten seconds then move to the next plant, the whole routine usually takes me 45minutes. Unfortunetly these plants aren’t looking too good and she will be very disappointed if she returns home to dead plants.
Any tips on how I can keep them alive?

Every article says, use a slightly larger pot when repiotting to give plants room to grow. How large do you go? Can you trim the roots?

I started a few varieties of peppers in coconut pellets, they sprouted nicely and grew vigorously for about a week. When I first saw sign of true leaves I place each in a peat pot and covered the roots (the whole pellets they where in) with seed starting mix from miracle grow. I have not added any fertilizer. They are light green now and not as dark green and they are curling up like boats in a V shape and not as healthy as they used to be. I also make sure to water when the top of the soil dries, about every 2 to 3 days, but no sign of recovery. They are still growing very very slowly however.

I planted an onion from when it sprouted leaves. It now is in a medium sized pot, with plenty of roots. It was thriving, but in a small pot, so I put the onion in the current pot. Now it is dying. The leaves are yellowing and dead and the tips, and the leaves thin out and curl into themselves.
I have no idea why this is Happening, I water every two days, because its so dry here in Atlanta.
What should I do? Just ask for more info-Thanks

Once the winter months came the leafs died and the trunk died. I cut it down to the ground and mulched around the roots to protect it for the winter months. It survived and now i am getting 4 for sure and i thing i may see a 5Th new banana trees. When is the best time to dig 1 or so of them up and move them to another area in the lawn or into a pot and bring indoor?

I’ve always heard that stripping the color out of your hair hurts it, but no one has ever given me any information to back that up. I have really long hair that is naturally strawberry blonde. I died it blonde a couple of years back but I always thought it still had some red in it. I’ve been wanting to color my hair a couple of shades lighter and my roots have grown out a lot since I last colored it. But my dilemma is that I cannot put color on top of color. So I want to know if I were to strip the color than color it again if it would really damage my hair.
If you have any information I would really appreciate it.
