Should I remove my Strawberry plant runners?

I’m growing strawberries on a pot on my deck. I have everbearing plants and have pinched off flower buds (and will until the end of this month). But about three weeks ago, the plant stopped producing buds. It’s still growing healthy new leaves and just started sending out runners. Should I remove the runners because they are using up the plants energy?

Do I HAVE to repot a houseplant?

I have a number of houseplants that if possible, I’d like to keep in their current pots. Some of them are losing their soil so I was just planning on adding in more soil and trimming down the roots. I really don’t want large houseplants and don’t want to keep buying larger and larger pots if at all possible. I don’t have the room for large plants nor do I want them. Can houseplants remain in the same pot forever? Can you simply just maintain them in the same pot year after year? If yes, what’s the best way to go about that? Do I need to fertilize everytime I add new soil? thanks.

Who makes new varieties of plants and how?

How are new plants developed? Find out who undertakes plant breeding an how it’s actually done. For example: How researchers select and breed large numbers of plants?

Get answers from millions of real people?

Hi I just got an Alow vera plant and put it in a new pot. at the place that I purchased the plant they seggested that I add a little sand to the soil for better drainage. On the tag that came with the plant it said water once a week or when the soil is totally dry. That is what I have done so far it is doing pretty well but the tips are starting to get brown is this from to much watering or to little watering? it is growing in the house on a counter that has good light but not direct light, most plants that I have had grown there do very well.

Flowers good for planning in small area?

I’m 21 years old and purcahsed a condo in October (2008). Our back patio is ground level, and there is a small area out from our patio where I’d like to plant some flowers.

The area is about 1 foot wide, and 4 feet long.

I’d like to plant something colorful, that will last through most of late spring through late summer.

Any suggestions? Please specify if the plants will come back up every year. I’m debating on weather or not I want to do plants that will come up every year or not.

There is a 1foot x 2ft box out side below the deck now that the previous owner used for planting…it was obvious that it had not been planted in for quite some time. I’m wondering if I put it in the center of my planting area with a pretty flower in it - something that over flows maybe…and then plant around it on the ground…how that would look.
If I choose to do that, what would be a good flower to do it with? Something like short and flowey that will grow down the side of the box. Almost like a ground cover but not leafy - more flowery.

I’m also planning on having a tomato plant on the porch its self. I’ll probably buy it pre-potted though from a near by garden store.
