Can the bank ask for more money on a short sale than originally listed at?
November 15th, 2009 Posted by: admin
We put on offer on a short sale. The asking price was $350,000. We offered $370,000. Didn’t hear back for 2 weeks. Now we’re told that we made the highest offer but the bank doesn’t want anything less than $420,000. Can they do that? This house we made the offer on is in Orange, CA and was on the market for less than a week when we made the offer.

Has any one tried to grow their own tomatoes in a hanging pot? How did that work out for you?
November 13th, 2009 Posted by: admin
My dog eats my tomatoes and I don’t have all the room that I want this year to grow them. I was pondering starting them in a hanging pot from my front porch. Any ideas or tips? I didn’t want to spend the money on those kits if I could rig it up myself.

Which is the worse offense: stealing or smoking pot?
September 30th, 2009 Posted by: admin
A certain repetitive poster on the board tonight, and even more so the responses he’s receiving, has me wondering which would upset a parent more…
Your child stealing from you, regardless of what the money was spent on.
Your child smoking marijuana (for the sake of argument let’s say it was given to him for free).

how and will i pass my drug test?
September 15th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I recently was offered a great job for a company that i have been applying to for years. I am not a big pot smoker, but enjoy it once a month or less. I need to pass a drug test. The last time i smoked was over two weeks ago and i don’t have any money at the moment. The catch twenty two is that i just found out im pregnant. Many of the suggestions ive read dont seem that safe for someone who is pregnant. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. thank you. oh and yes i have quite smoking sense i became aware of being pregnant.

Should marijuana be legalized?
August 8th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I think it should. Not that I’m a pot head or anything but the only reason it is illegal is because the government can’t tax it.
I think that if they legalized it then there would be less crime, cus there wouldn’t be any dealers anymore. Or fights about money, its all for the greater good i think.

A group of graduates, well established in their careers, were talking at a reunion and decided to go visit their old university professor, now retired. During their visit, the conversation turned to complaints about stress in their work and lives.
Offering his guests hot chocolate, the professor went into the kitchen and returned with a large pot of hot chocolate and an assortment of cups - porcelain, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the hot chocolate. When they all had a cup of hot chocolate in hand, the professor said: ‘Notice that all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best
for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.
The cup that you’re drinking from adds nothing to the quality of the hot chocolate. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink.
What all of you really wanted was hot chocolate, not the cup; but you consciously
went for the best cups. And then you began eyeing each other’s cups. Now consider this: Life is the hot chocolate; your job, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life. The cup you have does not define, nor change the quality of life you have.Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the hot chocolate.
The happiest people don’t have the best of everything.
They just make the best of everything that they have.
