Got information on Salvia Divinorum?

I’m a shaman from the eastern United States and, even though it doesn’t grow naturally in my domain, I would like to try it because most other hallucinagens are illegal. Has anyone had any experience with it and, if so, how does it compare to LSD, pot or Peote?
I know that my brothers in Mexico use it for visions and to diagnose patients. I would like to try it and see what my Ancestors say about it.

How do you plan to celebrate New Year’s Eve this year? What are your traditions?

We stay up and bring in the new year with a kiss and noise from party favors, fireworks, and clanging pots and pans. Last few years it’s been kids versus us to see who can actually stay awake!!

Cheers!
We’re all going to Bushman’s to party *****!! ;-) Thumbs up to everybody! Great ideas for bringing in the new year.

Mike is dead?

Two guys meet up in a bar. The first one asks, “Did your hear the news - Mike is dead??!!!”

“Woah, what the hell happened to him?”

“Well he was on his way over to my house the other day and when he arrived outside the house he didn’t brake properly and boom - He hit the curb, the car flipped over and he crashed through the sunroof - Went flying through the air and smashed through my upstairs bedroom window.”

“What a horrible way to die!”

“No no, he survived that, that didn’t kill him at all. So, he’s landed in my upstairs bedroom and he’s all covered in broken glass on the floor. Then, he spots the big old antique wardrobe we have in the room and reaches up for the handle to try to pull himself up. He’s just dragging himself up when bang, this massive wardrobe comes crashing down on top of him, crushing him and breaking most of his bones.”

“What a way to go, that’s terrible!”

“No no, that didn’t kill him he survived that. He managed to get the wardrobe off him and crawls out onto the landing, he tries to pull himself up on the banister but under his weight, the banister breaks and he goes falling down on to the first floor. In mid air, all the broken banister poles spin and fall on him, pinning him to the floor, sticking right through him.”

“Now that is the most unfortunate way to go!”

“No no, that didn’t kill him, he even survived that. So he’s on the downstairs landing, just beside the kitchen. He crawls in to the kitchen, tries to pull himself up on the stove, but reached for a big pot of boiling hot water, whoosh, the whole thing came down on him and burned most of his skin off him.”

“Man, what a way to go!”

“No no, he survived that, he survived that! He’s lying on the ground, covered in boiling water and he spots the phone and tries to pull himself up, to call for help, but instead he grabs the light switch and pulls the whole thing off the wall and the water and electricity didn’t mix and so he got electrocuted, wallop, 10,000 volts shot through him.”

“Now that is one awful way to go!”

“No no, he survived that…”

“Hold on now, just how the hell did he die?”

“I shot him!”

“You shot him? What the hell did you shoot him for?”

“He was wrecking my house.”

Why does smoke settle so badly in my hair?

I don’t smoke but anytime I’m around smoke, it gets in my hair and stays there till I wash it. I don’t know. It just seems like I have more problems with this than the average person. I can understand smelling like smoke, but the way it stays in my hair is rediculous. Is there anything I can do to make my hair not smell so strongly so I don’t have to wash it immediately every time?

Would you be comfortable if your wife/girlfriend husband/boyfriend had friends who smoked pot?

I am totally uncomfortable around it. I realize that many people smoke pot, but I prefer not to be around it or be friends with people who do it. I’ve been dating someone for five years, and recently the topic came up, and we visited some friends of hers who pulled out the bong. I wanted to leave immediately, but she had a hard time leaving because it was “no big deal” to her. I could not understand her open mind to drugs and how society views pot smokers. I never really expected to marry someone who would be open to it, and would it be fair of me to ask that she doesn’t hang around with them if they are smoking pot? It’s not the harm of the drug that bothers me as much as the stigma behind inviting drugs into my family. I wouldn’t stay anywhere near someone smoking pot, and I could understand being an acquaintance, but never hanging out while they did it. That would be support of it, in my opinion. Is there anyone who agrees with me?

is it worth continuing to pursue a job in graphic art if im 2 years out of school and still havent got a job?

im 2 years out of college now and i have yet to find a job in my field. the furthest ive gotten is an internship with a company that closed down after me being a week in and a couple of interviews. literally 2 interviews

80 percent of the design jobs i see (entry level jobs) are asking for 2 and 3 years of experience. its almost as if there’s no such thing as a true entry level graphic design job

am i doing something wrong? is my portfolio not up to par? am i just not good enough for the industry? do i need to network?

how much of this has to do with over saturation of designers?

i send out at least a couple of applications a day.

im not expecting to be a hotshot designer with a downtown loft and a porsche right outta college. im looking to work my way up like anybody else. im looking for something entry level. hell even an internship, working at a print shop Anything.

not knowing is whats killing me more than anything. im p

any design professionals out there have any tips or stories of how you got your first jobs? similar experience?

any fellow designers/art directors or anybody in a position to hire graphic designers contact me and i will send you a link to my portfolio so you can give me an honest critique. i rather not pot it publicly for obvious reasons

What is a good way to lose fat but also gain muscle?

I am 30 years old. While I was in college I worked out constantly, it second-nature to me. However after I got my career off the ground, my “working-out” became lost; and fat took the place of muscle. Now that I am 30 I am trying to get back in shape. It could be a mid-life crisis for all I know…but I really want to get back into shape…get more toned. I, obviously, know the basics of working out. However, now that I am “fat” to be blunt, I am having trouble losing the fat and gaining muscle. I have cut my diet to 3 VERY SMALL meals a day and I consume two LITE protein shakes inbetween meals. I am gaining muscle. However, I am not losing fat or at least not losing any “real” pounds as of yet. What am I doing wrong? Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!!

Is this man cheap or mentally ill?

A man hosts Christian potlucks monthly. He brings leftover food from previous potlucks, and food you should just eat at home. Canned spaghetti-o’s, canned fruit cocktail, half full bottle of juice, half eaten jars of pickles and macaroni salad, a half eaten box of bunny cookies from Easter. (He said he had stored them in the freezer for 2 months). There was pot of some kind of broth or gravy with ham and beans. It was dark and I couldn’t see it too well. I only ate the fish tacos that someone was grilling in the kitchen and some diet soda. No one wants to embarrass or offend him. They say nothing to him directly. Some people laugh. Others get sick. Attendance has been dwindling. I bring dishes I made that day or bakery goods I recently picked up. Why can’t he? He is in his 50’s, with a MA in History. But, doesn’t have a regular job. He mostly does missionary work.

People should eat leftovers at home only. Don’t serve them to other people at a gathering. Opinions? Suggestions?
To Sandra M: I know what you are saying. But, it is not practicing good Christianity to be thoughtless and poison people either. People have gotten sick because they were new and didn’t know his ways. He can get food at the 99 cents store if he is poor.
He is not a guest. He is the one hosting the potlucks and leading the sermons.
